Tactical Aviation was founded in 2019 by a team of experienced and highly skilled drone professionals, including veterans, with over forty years of combined experience in pilot training and courseware development. As a woman-owned small business, we are committed to diversity and inclusivity, and we strive to serve the entire drone community in the best possible format, no matter the skill level or education level of the student, class, school or business.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower the drone community by providing expert training and education through easy-to-follow online courses, designed to help students pass the FAA’s Aeronautical Knowledge Examination. With a focus on providing the best quality courseware for the best possible price, we are the subject matter experts in drone training, offering platform instruction, lecture, hands-on demonstration, small group exercises, scenario-based training, and consultation.

Director of Operations & Training

As Director of Operations & Training, Chris is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our drone training programs. With years of experience in the industry, he has a deep understanding of what it takes to help students, schools, and businesses succeed.

Director of Technology & Technical Expert

James is an expert in drone technology, and he brings that expertise to his role as Director of Technology & Technical Expert. Whether it’s developing new course content or working with our partners to bring cutting-edge technology to the classroom, James is always working to keep us at the forefront of the industry.

Director of Sales & Marketing

Alison is responsible for promoting Tactical Aviation and making sure our services are accessible to the drone community. With a background in sales and marketing, she knows how to get the word out and make sure our clients get the training they need.

Benjamin is passionate about education and innovation, and he brings that passion to his role as Director of Curriculum & Partnerships. He works with our partners and instructors to develop new course offerings and make sure our curriculum is up-to-date and relevant.

K12 Program

Our K12 program is designed to provide students with hands-on, engaging training that will help them develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the drone industry. This program includes a variety of interactive lessons and activities, along with real-world scenarios and challenges that will help students develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

JROTC Program

Our JROTC program is designed to help young people learn the basics of drone operation, while also helping them develop important leadership and teamwork skills. This program includes comprehensive training on drone flight techniques, safety protocols, and FAA regulations, along with hands-on, scenario-based exercises that will help students develop the skills they need to succeed.

Our Part 107 Online Course is the quickest and most convenient way to get certified as a drone pilot. Covering everything on the FAA aeronautical knowledge examination, this 200-dollar course is designed for adult learners who want to take their drone skills to the next level.

TRUST

The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST)

The law requires that all recreational flyers pass an aeronautical knowledge. At Tactical Aviation, we are proud to be an approved Test Administrator for the FAA TRUST program. Since June 2021, we have been offering TRUST as an online test to support the growth and safety of the drone community.
